Safety protocols

COVID-19 Update

To Our Amazing Patients:

We hope you and your family are in good health during these trying times.

Kaka‘ako Smiles is open and continues to practice dentistry with the highest level of safety standards set by the ADA Code of Ethics, CDC Guidelines, and State regulations. To ensure everyone’s safety, we have implemented the following procedures:

  1. A health screening will be evaluated prior to and on your appointment date.

  2. Please reschedule your appointment if you do not feel well, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or awaiting COVID-19 test results. Please reschedule your appointment if you live with someone who is sick, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, recently tested positive for COVID-19, or awaiting test results.

  3. CALL our office from your vehicle or when you arrive at the building to check in for your appointment.

  4. If at all possible, only patients are allowed in our office. Non-patients should remain outside or in their vehicle due to new health regulations.

  5. Do not enter the building without a mask. Temperature screening and hand sanitation are required for all patients.

Please know that we are taking the same precautions for all members of our Kaka‘ako Smiles Team. We have all received the COVID-19 vaccine as well.

While our office has always adhered to industry standard infection control measures for dental practices, we have implemented the following to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

     –  Acrylic panels installed at the reception desk.

     –  Surgically Clean Air Purifiers located in the waiting area and operatories.

     –  In addition to our standard PPE, all clinical staff wear n95 and Level 3 surgical masks, face shields, and surgical gowns.

     –  UV sanitizer wands and Hypochlorous Acid Foggers to disinfect our treatment rooms between patients and our reception area.

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding as we do our best to care of your dental needs during these times. We value your trust and loyalty, and look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

Mahalo,

Dr. Gerald Adachi and Team
